Who we are

This website belongs to Edge General Store, 7250 Edge Cut Off Road, Hearne, TX 77859.

What this site collects

If you join our email list, we keep your email address, your first name if you give it, the page you signed up on and the date. We use them only to send store news, such as event dates and specials. We keep the list on our website and, once it is set up, in the email service we use to send it. We do not sell them or give them to anyone else. You can unsubscribe any time, or call us to be taken off the list.

To stop spam, our forms count tries from each visitor for one hour, using a scrambled form of your internet address. That count is not stored with your email address and is deleted after the hour.

When you send us a note or a question about an event through a form on this site, we keep your name, email, phone if you give it, your message, the page you sent it from and the date, and we email a copy to the store so we can answer you. We use it only to answer you. The box for store news is ticked for you. If you leave it ticked, we also add your email and first name to our email list. Untick it if you do not want store news. You can unsubscribe any time.

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Like any website, our web host keeps standard server logs, such as internet addresses and the pages visited, to keep the site running and secure.

Outside services

This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers when a page loads. The map on our visit page loads from Google Maps only when you choose to show it, and Google may then set its own cookies. Our home page shows our latest Facebook posts, so your browser contacts Facebook when that page loads. Google and Facebook handle that under their own privacy policies.
