Edge General Store, originally built in 1907, served as both a post office and general store for the community. After closing for nearly 40 years following a family tragedy, it was revived in 2007 when Teresa Bordeau and her family purchased and restored the store. Despite challenges, including her son's battle with cancer, the Bordeau family, with the support of the local community, brought the store back to life. The store remains a beloved gathering place, offering great food, local events, and a strong connection to its historic roots.
Edge General Store isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a community hub where people gather for everything from casual lunches to special events. We host weddings, rehearsal dinners, and live music nights, offering a welcoming space with a touch of Southern charm. Throughout the year, we bring the community together with seasonal events like our fall pumpkin patch and summer BBQ nights, ensuring there’s always something fun happening.
